Jennifer Corriero

Jennifer Corriero is the co-founder and Executive Director of TakingITGlobal, one of the world's first social networks aimed at engaging youth globally to make a difference in their communities. Her organization has been instrumental in reaching over 20 million young individuals interested in making a difference on issues that matter. Corriero holds a Masters in Environmental Studies and serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health at York University. Known for her role in fostering cross-cultural dialogue, she strengthens the capacity of youth as leaders and increases awareness and involvement in global issues through technology.

In 2007, Corriero was named as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network and TakingITGlobal was recognized by the 2007 Tech Museum Awards as a winner in the Education category. In addition to these accolades, she has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and was named by Forbes as one of 5 Innovative Rising Stars in Education, Healthcare, and Environment. She serves on the Global Agenda Council on Youth Unemployment, highlighting her commitment to addressing significant global challenges.

Corriero has an extensive record of speaking and facilitating at international events in over 30 countries, focusing on topics such as the impact of new technologies on classrooms and workplaces, and effective engagement with the Net Generation. She has been a youth engagement strategy consultant for a range of organizations, including Microsoft, TD Bank, VanCity Credit Union, Ontario Science Centre, and the Canadian Government. Her keynotes often emphasize the role of technology and education in empowering young women to embrace opportunities in technology and sciences.
