Jeremy Liew

Jeremy Liew is a Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, having joined the firm in 2006. He focuses primarily on consumer-facing companies in the mobile and online sectors, with keen interests in video, massive-scale social media, commerce, and financial services. His investment portfolio includes notable companies such as "Snapchat", "The Honest Company", "Giphy", "Bonobos", "Affirm", and "Mic".

Liew has achieved recognition for his investment prowess, being named multiple times to the Forbes' Midas List, with his most recent inclusion in 2016. He has played a pivotal role in the successful exits of several Lightspeed investments including "Playdom" (acquired by Disney), "Flixster" (acquired by Warner Brothers), "Kongregate" (acquired by GameStop), "Slice" (acquired by Rakuten), and "Serious Business" (acquired by Zynga).

Previously, Liew worked at AOL, where he served as SVP of corporate development and chief of staff to the CEO before becoming the general manager of Netscape. His earlier career included a stint as an early employee at CitySearch in 1996 and roles at InterActiveCorp and McKinsey & Company. He holds a BA/BSc from the Australian National University in Linguistics and Pure Mathematics and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Currently, Liew is a Co-Chair of the board of Trustees of Presidio Knolls School, a progressive Mandarin-immersion school in San Francisco. He continues to contribute to the Lightspeed blog and shared his investment insights on season four of "Shark Tank".
