Jessica Groopman

Jessica Groopman has dedicated over 15 years to researching the human, business, and societal impacts of emerging technologies. She is a founding partner of Kaleido Insights, a technology research firm based in San Francisco, where she specializes in digital transformation and responsible governance of emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, blockchain, and big data. Her current research explores the intersection of these technologies with sustainable and regenerative design to guide organizations internationally in aligning economic, societal, and environmental benefits through strategic advisory and digital transformation services. Past clients include notable companies such as Coca-Cola, Google, AARP, Technicolor, Intel, Microsoft, Pandora, and Cisco.

Before her current role at Kaleido Insights, Groopman was the Director of Digital Strategy & Innovation at Intentional Futures, and held principal analyst positions at Tractica, Harbor Research, and Altimeter Group. Her research during these tenures covered a wide range of topics including artificial intelligence, IoT, blockchain, automation, robotics, mixed reality, data privacy, and more. She has authored over 40 insightful reports and contributed to several significant publications, underlining her extensive expertise and influence in the field.

Groopman is a recognized figure at technology industry events, delivering keynotes on topics such as regenerative business models and the implications of blockchain across various sectors. She also co-hosts the "Hype Hazard" podcast, where she discusses the real-world applications and implications of emerging technologies.
