Jessica Lipnack

Jessica Lipnack is an author, consultant, and pioneer in the study of virtual teams and networked organizations. She co-founded NetAge, a firm specializing in collaborative technologies and organizational development, alongside Jeffrey Stamps. Lipnack has spent decades researching and advising companies, governments, and nonprofits on the power of networks, helping organizations adapt to the digital age through more effective remote collaboration and leadership.

Lipnack co-authored several influential books, including "The Age of the Network" and "Virtual Teams," which explored the dynamics of decentralized workforces and the impact of technology on human connection. Her work has been widely recognized for its forward-thinking approach to distributed teams, long before remote work became mainstream. She has also contributed to publications like Harvard Business Review and The Wall Street Journal, providing insights into the evolving nature of work.

Beyond her research and consulting, Lipnack has been an advocate for innovative workplace structures, helping organizations implement strategies that enhance productivity and engagement. Lipnack serves on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the San Francisco Library, where she chairs the Advancement Committee, and is editor of "Conversations," the publication of the Margaret Fuller Society. She is currently working on a novel-trilogy, "Woman in the 21st Century," about the return of the 19th-century phenomenon Margaret Fuller, and on various nonfiction projects, including a memoir. Her essay, "Dear Grandma Rae and Grandpa Charlie," was a 2019 Pushcart nominee.
