Jessica Pegula

Jessica Pegula is an accomplished professional tennis player who has career-high WTA rankings of world No. 3 in singles and world No. 1 in doubles. She has won six singles titles and seven doubles titles on the WTA Tour, winning three WTA 1000 titles in singles and two in doubles. She also reached the singles final at the 2023 WTA Finals and the 2024 US Open. A seven-time major quarterfinalist in singles, Pegula has reached this stage at all four Grand Slam tournaments. In doubles, she reached the final of the 2022 French Open, partnering with Coco Gauff, and the mixed doubles final of the 2023 US Open with Austin Krajicek.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Pegula is the daughter of Terry and Kim Pegula, prominent business figures who own the NFL's Buffalo Bills and the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. She turned professional in 2009. Her journey through the sport has been characterized by persistence, especially as she overcame significant injuries in her career, including hip surgery in 2017. Her powerful baseline game and tenacious playing style have made her a formidable opponent on any surface.
