Jim Steele

Jim Steele is an expert in the areas of security and counterterrorism and is currently a distinguished business adviser, corporate speaker, and performance coach. He is the president of J&D International, a consulting firm specializing in corporate and personal security with offices in Houston and The Woodlands, Texas. Additionally, Steele serves as the chairman of the executive committee of the RC Group, a business development firm in Washington, D.C. He continues to work periodically in Iraq with the U.S. Department of Defense to assist in building effective Iraqi security forces. Beyond his security expertise, Steele's speaking engagements focus on peak performance, leadership, and strategic change management. He works with successful figures from various sectors to decode high performance and crafts his presentations to motivate and educate, tailored specifically to meet the needs of his audience.

Prior to April 2003, Steele was the president and CEO of TM Power Ventures, an independent power company with operating power plants in North America and Europe. He also served as chairman of the board of Commonwealth Chesapeake Company, which built the largest power plant on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and as chairman of the advisory board of RPM, an international security company headquartered in Pinehurst, Texas. His extensive experience and knowledge in leadership and strategic operations, both in military and corporate sectors, have been recognized globally. Jim retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of distinguished service, achieving rapid promotions and culminating in his selection for promotion to brigadier general. Steele's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Dayton and a Masters degree in International Affairs from the University of Florida.
