Jimmy Johnson

Jimmy Johnson is a football broadcaster and a former football player, coach, and executive. Currently, Johnson is part of the highly rated Fox NFL Sunday team, which has won 16 Emmy Awards, including four for "Best Studio Show" during his time on the program. Prior to that, he served as General Manager/Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins from 1996 to 2000, becoming the third head coach in club history, following George Wilson (1966-69) and Don Shula (1970-95).

Johnson led "America's Team," the Dallas Cowboys, to two consecutive Super Bowl titles in Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII, joining Vince Lombardi, Don Shula, and Chuck Noll as the only head coaches to achieve this milestone. Additionally, he was named NFL Coach of the Year three times during his final four years with the Cowboys. He is also the only coach in football history to win both a Super Bowl title and a major college football championship, achieving the latter with the University of Miami Hurricanes in 1987.

Before serving as head coach in the National Football League, Johnson served as head coach at Oklahoma State University and the University of Miami, where he compiled a 52-9 record. His coaching career began as the defensive line coach at Louisiana Tech in 1965, spanning various roles at Wichita State, Iowa State, Oklahoma University, and the University of Pittsburgh before his tenure at Oklahoma State in 1979.

Johnson played on the Arkansas Razorbacks football team, where he was an all-Southwest Conference defensive lineman. He is also the author of the autobiography Turning the Thing Around: Pulling America's Team Out of the Dumps-And Myself Out of the Doghouse, which chronicles his life and coaching experience, offering an ultimate insider's look at football from one of the true masters of the sport.
