Jody Holtzman

Jody Holtzman is a seasoned strategist and recognized thought leader in health innovation and the aging market, currently serving as Managing Director at Match Point Partners. With over three decades of experience, he has helped companies develop and implement competitive strategies to achieve their market goals.

Previously, Holtzman was the Senior Vice President of Market Innovation at AARP, where he built a groundbreaking program to spark market innovation that benefits people over 50. During his tenure, he conceived and developed the $7.6 trillion Longevity Economy concept, created AARP's venture capital investment strategy, and established the Health Innovation@50+ LivePitch franchise. This program attracted over 1,000 startup companies and resulted in 70 finalists, half of whom raised over $190 million in venture capital. He also launched the Longevity Network, in partnership with United Healthcare, a key platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders. Holtzman produced the first market and revenue forecasts in digital health specifically for older people, including "Health Innovation Frontiers" and "Caregiving Innovation Frontiers."

Holtzman's extensive career includes leading AARP's Research and Strategic Analysis department, founding AARP's first competitive intelligence group, and holding senior leadership roles at several strategy consulting firms, such as Strategy Dynamics Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and FutureBrand. His work has been featured in numerous prestigious publications and recognized by major media outlets like the Financial Times, New York Times, CNBC, Bloomberg Businessweek, and PBS NewsHour. He was named a Top 50 Influencer in Aging by NPR/Next Avenue in 2017.

With a graduate degree in international political economy from the University of Chicago, Holtzman is a frequent speaker on the challenges and opportunities presented by the demographic wave.
