Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski

Former Florida Congressman Joe Scarborough is the creator and co-host of MSNBC’s "Morning Joe," a program recognized for its in-depth analysis and interviews with top newsmakers. He also provides on-air political commentary for MSNBC, as well as CNBC and NBC's "Today Show." Scarborough was first elected to the US Congress in 1994, becoming the first Republican elected in Florida's First District since 1872. He served until 2001 and was a member of important committees including the Judiciary, Armed Services, Oversight, and National Security.

During his tenure, Scarborough championed causes such as a balanced budget, human rights, religious freedom, and environmental concerns. Recognized for his legislative efforts, he was named to the "Time 100" list of the world’s most influential people. Scarborough is also a two-time New York Times best-selling author with works including "Rome Wasn’t Burnt in a Day," "The Last Best Hope: Restoring Conservatism and America's Promise," and "The Right Path: From Ike to Reagan, How Republicans Once Mastered Politics—and Can Again."

After leaving Congress, Scarborough continued to impact public discourse through his writing and television career. He founded and published The Florida Sun and served on President Bush’s Council on the 21st Century Workforce.

Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s "Morning Joe" alongside Scarborough, is a best-selling author and founder of the "Know Your Value" movement. Before her tenure at MSNBC starting in January 2007, Brzezinski was an anchor of the CBS Evening News Weekend Edition and a CBS News correspondent. She reported live from Lower Manhattan during the September 11 attacks.

Brzezinski has authored four best-selling books including her memoir "All Things At Once," and "Knowing Your Value," which addresses women's roles in the workplace. Her recent efforts include launching "Know Your Value" in partnership with NBCUniversal in 2015 and the co-authored "EARN IT!: Know Your Value and Grow Your Career, in Your 20s and Beyond." Her contributions to media and communications have been recognized with the New York Women in Communications’ Matrix Award in 2018 and induction into the Cable News Hall of Fame in 2016.

Both Scarborough and Brzezinski have significantly influenced political and media landscapes through "Morning Joe," known for its dynamic perspective and significant access to political figures like President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
