Joel Chasnoff

Joel Chasnoff is an established Jewish comedian and best-selling author known for his unique perspective as a veteran of the Israeli Army. Chasnoff grew up in Chicago and has a vast experience in stand-up comedy, performing for over 1,500 Jewish audiences in North America, Europe, Israel, and Australia. Chasnoff's literary contributions include the National Jewish Book Award-winning "Israel 201: Your Next-Level Guide to the Magic, Mystery, and Chaos of Life in the Holy Land" and "The 188th Crybaby Brigade," a comedic memoir about his experiences as a tank gunner in the Israel Defense Forces, published by Simon and Schuster in 2001. Both works have been highly praised, with "The 188th Crybaby Brigade" receiving accolades for its humor and insightful commentary. In addition to his own books, Chasnoff has contributed to "The Big Book of Jewish Humor: 25th Anniversary Edition" and "The Idiot's Guide to Jokes." He is also collaborating on "The Balaboosta Way: A Mediterranean Cookbook" with Chef Einat Admony. Currently based in Ra’anana, Israel, Chasnoff continues to connect with audiences through his presentations and is preparing for his upcoming spring tour, Yachad, designed to strengthen bonds within Jewish communities through stories, workshops, and comedy.
