A self confessed superfan of the series, Cochran asked that he be referred to by his last name saying that host Jeff Probst acknowledges his favorite contestants by their surnames. In Caramoan, he became the second player to ever play a "Perfect Game", receiving no votes against him at Tribal Council and winning the jury vote unanimously.
He also has landed a gig writing for CBS network's new comedy series, The Millers' (with Will Arnett, Margo Martindale, Beau Bridges, JB Smoove, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Eve Moon and Cole Ewing co-star) which is set to air Fall 2013.
