John Foley is the co-founder and Executive Chair of Peloton, a groundbreaking at-home fitness company established in 2013. As a cycling enthusiast, Foley raised $307,000 to launch this innovative venture. He co-founded Peloton alongside Graham Stanton, Hisao Kushi, Yony Feng, and Tom Cortese.
Foley began his career as an engineer in 1990 at Mars Inc., gaining valuable experience in manufacturing. He later transitioned into technology leadership roles, contributing to the growth of CitySearch.com as a well-known brand. Foley's leadership journey continued as he assumed positions such as CEO of Evite.com, Co-founder and CEO of Pronto.com, and President of Barnesandnoble.com.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Beyond his role at Peloton, Foley is an avid cyclist and triathlete. His passion for fitness extends to participating in various boutique group fitness classes, including yoga, boot camps, and notably, indoor cycling.
