John Larroquette

John Larroquette is a distinguished actor renowned for his versatile performances in both television and film. He began his career in radio where his deep voice and commanding presence quickly made him a recognizable figure. His early work included voiceover roles, most notably narrating the opening text of the horror classic "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre."

Larroquette was cast in the NBC military comedy "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and worked steadily for years until his breakthrough role as Dan Fielding in the NBC sitcom "Night Court," which aired for eight years. His portrayal of the charming yet unscrupulous assistant district attorney earned him widespread acclaim and four consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series from 1985 to 1988. He returned to the role in the 2023 revival of the show.

Following his "Night Court" success, Larroquette starred in the NBC sitcom "The John Larroquette Show" and appeared in numerous guest-starring roles on popular television series, including "The West Wing," "Boston Legal," "House," "Parks and Rec," "The Good Fight" and "The Practice," for which he won his fifth Emmy in 1998. He also starred in the TNT series "The Librarians."

Larroquette has appeared in movies like "Stripes," "Blind Date," "JFK," "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" and "Richie Rich," often bringing a unique blend of humor and gravitas to his roles. His theater work includes a Tony Award-winning performance in the 2011 Broadway revival of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," where he starred alongside Daniel Radcliffe. He also appeared on Broadway as part of an all-star cast in a revival of Gore Vidal's "The Best Man" and in John Guare's "Nantucket Sleigh Ride" at Lincoln Center in 2019.
