John M. Collins Biography
John M. Collins is an award-winning forensic laboratory executive and forensic expert who changed careers in his mid-40s to start his private coaching and consulting practice. He is a trained leadership coach specializing authoritative, high-expertise occupations. Highlights from his 20-year forensic career include his part in the investigation of the bombing of the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, as well as his 2013 participation in a historic meeting with Attorney General Eric Holder and other experts to discuss solutions to gun crime following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
Collins has a master’s degree in Organizational Management and is formally certified as a senior HR professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). In 2012, Collins was trained as a professional coach by the College of Executive Coaching and is now a certified Gallup Strengths Coach. Collins is the author of four books, including his most recent book, "The New Superior: A Better Way to be the One in Charge," which is available in print and audio.
