John Stamos

John Stamos has a diverse career in the entertainment industry, spanning television and Broadway. He is known for his roles in various television series, including his Emmy-nominated performance as Blackie Parrish in "General Hospital," Jesse Katsopolis in "Full House," and Dr. Tony Gates in "ER." He also played a significant role in the Fox sitcom "Grandfathered" from 2015 to 2016 and the Fox black comedy series "Scream Queens" as Dr. Brock Holt in 2016. Furthermore, Stamos joined the cast of Lifetime's "You" as Dr. Nicky in 2018, a role he reprised in the second season released in 2019 on Netflix. He also appears in Hulu's "UnPrisoned."

Stamos has also achieved recognition on Broadway, with roles in productions like "Bye Bye Birdie," "The Best Man," "Cabaret," "Nine," and "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." His performance in the Broadway revival of "Bye Bye Birdie" earned him the 2009-10 Golden Icon Award for Best Actor in a Musical. Stamos expanded his reach in the entertainment industry as a producer and director. He executive produced and reprised his role in the Netflix sequel to "Full House," "Fuller House," which aired in 2016. His voice acting work includes voicing Tony Stark / Iron Man in the animated series "Spidey and His Amazing Friends," a role he's held since 2022.

Outside of acting, Stamos has a reputation for his philanthropic work and musical ability. He has been the national spokesperson for the child-oriented charity Project Cuddle since 2005. Stamos has combined his passion for music with his philanthropic efforts, performing in concert with the Beach Boys since 1985 and notably at the 80-year MD Anderson benefit concert in 2022, helping raise $8.3 million. He also hosted the "A Capitol Fourth" special on PBS in 2018. In addition, Stamos's involvement in advertising campaigns includes a series of commercials for Dannon's Greek yogurt brand Oikos since 2011.

Stamos's accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including the People's Choice Award for Favorite Actor in a New TV Series for "Grandfathered" in 2016. He also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 16, 2009. In 2023, Stamos added author to his list of accolades, releasing a memoir titled "If You Would Have Told Me," with a foreword by Jamie Lee Curtis.
