Jon Lovett

Jon Lovett is a podcaster, comedian, and former presidential speechwriter. In 2017, he co-founded Crooked Media with Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor to build a progressive media network with insightful political analysis, compelling documentary series, and a broad range of content designed to inform, entertain, and inspire action. At Crooked Media, he co-hosts the popular political podcasts “Pod Save America” and “Lovett or Leave It.”

Before establishing Crooked Media, Lovett made significant contributions as a presidential speechwriter in the Barack Obama White House. He also worked as a speechwriter for Hillary Clinton. In addition to his work in politics, Lovett has a background in television. He co-created the NBC comedy “1600 Penn” and was a writer and producer on the third season of HBO's "The Newsroom." He even appeared on "1600 Penn" portraying himself. Lovett's work also extends into journalism as a writer for The Atlantic, crafting multiple stories for the publication.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, Lovett graduated from Williams College with a degree in mathematics. He has been confirmed as a contestant on the 47th season of the CBS reality television show "Survivor." He is openly gay and served as an officiate for a gay wedding in the White House during Obama's first term.
