Josh Feldman

Josh Feldman is a notable figure in the entertainment industry, recognized for his role in advancing representation through his work as a deaf LGBTQ+ writer, producer, and actor based in Los Angeles, California. Feldman co-created "This Close," a groundbreaking series on Sundance TV, notable for being the first major television show created by deaf individuals. The series was acclaimed, receiving nominations for a Peabody Award and a GLAAD Award, and aired successfully for two seasons.

Before his significant contributions to television and film, Feldman joined NBCUniversal in 2016 to lead the Network Partnerships group, aimed at driving revenue across the portfolio through strategic sponsorship opportunities. He was responsible for collaborating with the leadership of each NBCUniversal network across all platforms to execute client-focused marketing efforts.

Continuing his impactful career, Feldman served as Co-Producer for the upcoming Marvel series "ECHO," set to release in 2023 on Disney+. His script also earned a place on the 2022 GLAAD List, spotlighting promising unproduced LGBTQ+ scripts in Hollywood. Beyond his production roles, he is actively involved in mentoring emerging talents as part of the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters Labs and is developing projects with prominent studios such as Amblin Entertainment and Sony Pictures. Notably, he is currently writing a feature film about Coach Keith Adams and the California School for the Deaf Riverside football team.

Feldman’s achievements and dedication to inclusion within the media landscape have been recognized, including his selection for a Momentum Fellowship from the Sundance Institute in 2018. His innovative approach to inclusive storytelling continues to influence the industry, paving the way for more diverse and representative media. Feldman is a graduate of Michigan State University and utilizes interpreters when working with hearing individuals, underscoring the importance of education and communication in his professional and creative endeavors.
