Joy Bauer

Joy Bauer, MS, RDN, CDN, is a prominent health authority, serving as the nutrition and health expert for the "TODAY Show" and the host of NBC’s "Health + Happiness." Additionally, she hosts an Amazon Live show, "Health, Happiness, Joy," where she offers cooking demonstrations, answers viewers’ questions, and showcases her favorite products. She is also the official nutritionist for the New York City Ballet and the founder of JoyBauer.com. A prolific author, Bauer has written 12 best-selling books, including "Joy’s Simple Food Remedies" and the New York Times bestseller "Joy Bauer’s Food Cures."

Earlier in her career, Bauer was the Director of Nutrition and Fitness for the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where she also served as the clinical dietitian for the neurosurgical team. During this time, she created and implemented "Heart Smart Kids," a program aimed at improving the health of economically disadvantaged children in Harlem. She has also taught Anatomy & Physiology and Sports Nutrition at NYU’s School of Continuing Education.

Bauer has been honored with the National Media Excellence Award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Society of Nutrition Science, reflecting her commitment to delivering credible health information. Her presentations often explore topics such as brain health, disease prevention, and energy enhancement. Outside of her professional endeavors, Bauer enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and her dog, Gatsby.
