Julia Izmalkowa

Julia Izmalkowa is a 'humanologist', psychologist and researcher, who translates human behaviour, emotions and culture into a language that is practical and inspiring for businesses and marketers. In 2005, Julia founded IZMALKOWA, Europe’s first agency to specialise in the psychology of lies for business and marketing. IZMALKOWA works with the world’s biggest brands, helping them break through the fake reality of the “ever happy” consumer. She gives speeches and workshops around the world about insights, culture and psychology (at places including TEDx, GOOGLE and Facebook). She writes for Newsweek, has a column in Business Insider and runs a blog, myflirtwithreality.com, where she teaches psychology through storytelling.

I'm HUMANOLOGIST, ethnographic researcher and psychologist. I translate human behaviour and emotions into language that is practical and understandable for business and marketing.

I'm TRAVELING CEO. People and different cultures are my passions and my job. For 6 months each year I travel around the world, observe people, listen to them and analyse different cultures, which enables me to develop my understanding of reality and expands my competence as an ethnographic researcher.

I love people and life so much that I made it into my profession. In 2005 I founded IZMAŁKOWA, the first agency in Poland specializing in ethnographic research, which soon became a leader in this field.

I am an honorary lecturer of psychology faculties of the best Polish higher education facilities and I've been carrying out guest lectures in many higher education facilities around Poland.

I am also a public speaker. I give around 50 speeches and lectures every year, including international conferences and TEDx. I also write around 40 articles every year. They are published in marketing magazines ass well as national press. You can find my expert texts in Newsweek and Business Insider. My talks center on human behaviour/social change/consumer insight.
