Julian Maha

Dr. Julian Maha is a physician, social entrepreneur, and advocate for neurodiversity. Deeply influenced by personal experiences with his son, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of two, Dr. Maha founded KultureCity, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating inclusive environments for individuals with autism and other sensory sensitivities.

Under Dr. Maha's leadership, KultureCity has spearheaded numerous initiatives to promote acceptance, accessibility, and inclusion in various sectors, including sports arenas, museums, zoos, and educational institutions. He has been invited to speak at prestigious venues, such as the United Nations and the Vatican, where he has advocated for greater understanding and acceptance of individuals with autism on a global scale. He has received numerous accolades, including being named a CNN Hero and receiving the prestigious Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award.

Beyond his work with KultureCity, Dr. Maha continues to practice medicine, leveraging his expertise to provide compassionate care to patients in emergency medicine settings. He also serves on various boards and advisory councils dedicated to advancing the rights and opportunities of individuals with invisible disabilities and sensory needs.

Dr. Maha completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.
