Julie Bowen

Julie Bowen is an Emmy award-winning actress renowned for her versatility and comedic timing. Best known for her role as Claire Dunphy in the hit sitcom "Modern Family," which catapulted her to stardom, Bowen earned six Primetime Emmy Award nominations. She won twice for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Her career gained momentum in the late 1990s with appearances in television series such as "ER," "Party of Five," and "Dawson's Creek." It was her role as Carol Vessey in the beloved series "Ed," though, which brought her widespread recognition and critical acclaim. Her portrayal of the intelligent and witty high school teacher earned her a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award.

In addition to her television work, Bowen has appeared in numerous films, including "Happy Gilmore" -- a role which she will reprise in "Happy Gilmore 2" -- "Horrible Bosses" and its sequel, "Horrible Bosses 2," "Multiplicity" and "The Fallout." She voices characters in Disney's "Duck Tales" and "Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure." Her production company, Bowen & Sons produced the romantic comedy "Prom Pact" for Disney+.

Beyond her acting career, Bowen owns a skincare brand, JB SKRUB, for tween boys. She is also a founding board member of the national nonprofit, Baby2Baby.

She attended Brown University, where she majored in Renaissance Studies, and studied at the legendary Actors Studio.
