Julie Rasmussen

Julie Rasmussen is an inspirational and motivational speaker with decades of experience leading, motivating and inspiring executive teams, middle management teams, customer service teams and sales forces. She was personally mentored and trained by Mary Kay Ash, the Founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics and for ten years, she led the annual sales force seminars for Mary Kay Russia and Mary Kay Europe, speaking in front of thousands. She has overcome numerous personal and professional hardships and draws upon her wealth of personal experience to find meaning and inspiration for overcoming both personal and business challenges.

Most recently, she is the Founder & CEO of She Banks, a women’s fintech startup whose Mission is to Increase Financial Security for Women. An experienced Founder and CEO of multiple businesses, she started up and scaled Mary Kay’s corporate operations in Russia at the age of 27 after consulting on Park Avenue in New York for Fortune 50 companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Kodak, RJR Nabisco and Chevron on their joint ventures in Russia. In five years she built a $100 M international business with tens of thousands of independent sales contractors. She was the driving force leading and motivating her own executive and management teams as well as her salesforce of tens of thousands of independent sales representatives.

She is a seasoned entrepreneur, having started up companies in industries as diverse as fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), skin care and cosmetics, rental car and leasing, food service, security, and real estate sales and development. In 2002 she founded her own strategic development and management consulting company, Dagmar Associates, which specializes in strategic and brand audits, management team alignments, human capital development, startups and turn arounds, market and growth strategies, and private investments. She has sat on the boards of numerous startups, acting both as Independent Director, Executive Chairman and Chairman. She also started up the Hertz Rental Car business in Russia, later executing a management buyout and becoming Majority Owner, Chairman & CEO.

She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Columbia University and obtained her MBA from The University of Oxford in Oxford, England.
