Justin Silver

For close to a decade, Justin has been working with dogs and their owners. Friends note that dogs are the people he communicates best with while leading pet care professionals give unimpeachable testimony to his calling in life.

In short order, Justin began his career volunteering at animal shelters and walking dogs in his neighborhood of Chelsea Manhattan, where his innate ability to understand canine behavior was uncovered and honed. Reputation about his penchant to work miracles with difficult dogs had spread and Justin found his niche as a “re-trainer” for obedience school drop-outs. This coupled with his passion for rehabilitating shelter dogs kept him evolving as a trainer and if he wasn’t busy enough, Justin often provided interim housing for homeless animals.

His unequaled enthusiasm and way with dogs received high praise and solely by word of mouth, dog owners, veterinarians and pet care professionals were requesting he walk and train their pups. What followed was “The Language of Dogs,” a full service dog care concern. With his business partner David Donnenfeld, the duo would create and deploy a unique approach to dog training, dog walking and canine care.

With the shelters in his blood, in 2006 Justin would leverage his contacts and abilities as a comedian to found the charity “Funny For Fido,” a non-profit that brings the countries top comedians together to raise funds for shelters and rescue organizations.

Justin’s signature training style and way with man’s best friend caused Columbia Broadcasting System to take notice and in May 2012, the debut episode of CBS’ “Dogs In The City,” a primetime reality series hosted by none other than Justin Silver would hit the airwaves. Justin and "The Language Of Dogs" have also been featured in hundreds of TV segments, news/ magazine articles and blogs, including:

Justin is currently training dogs, rescuing abused animals with Funny For Fido and spending his down time with his Pit Bulls Chiquita and Pacino.
