Her first major role came in 2009 when she appeared in "An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong." She was cast as a recurring character in FX's crime drama "Justified." Soon after, she was cast as a series regular on sitcom "Last Man Standing" starring Tim Allen.
She has appeared in multiple motion pictures, including "J. Edgar" and "The Spectacular Now." She received praise for her work in 2013's "Short Term 12," which she starred in alongside Brie Larson, Rami Malek, and Lakeith Stanfield. In 2014, she was named one of Variety's 10 Actors to Watch. She appeared in "Men, Women & Children" alongside Ansel Elgort and Timothée Chalamet.
