Kara Young is an American actress. She has received three nominations for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play: in 2022 for the role of Letitia in "Clyde's," in 2023 for the role of Jess in "Cost of Living," and winning in 2024 for the role of Lutiebell Gussie Mae Jenkins in "Purlie Victorious." She was the first black actress to be nominated three consecutive times for the Tony Awards.
