Karen Akunowicz

Karen Akunowicz is a renowned figure in the culinary world. She is the Chef and Owner of Fox & the Knife Enoteca in South Boston and Bar Volpe, which opened in November 2021 and specializes in wood-fired, Southern Italian cuisine. Fox & the Knife Enoteca was recognized as one of Food & Wine's "Best New Restaurants in America, 2019."

Akunowicz has achieved significant recognition in her field. She is the 2018 James Beard Foundation Award winner for “Best Chef: Northeast” and a 2020 James Beard Award finalist for “Best New Restaurant.” Marie Claire Magazine also named her one of the “21 Badass Women Changing the Food World.”

In addition to her successful restaurants, Akunowicz is known for her appearances on popular cooking shows. She competed on "Top Chef Season 13," returned to compete in "Top Chef: All-Stars L.A.
