Katee Sackhoff

Katee Sackhoff has spent the past 15 years portraying some of the most memorable characters in film and television.

As one of the stars of the critically acclaimed television series, "Battlestar Galactica," Katee wowed fans and critics alike with her portrayal of Kara “Starbuck” Thrace.

For five years Sackhoff brought to life one of the show’s most compelling and complex characters, gaining a legion of loyal fans along the way. Since then Katee has gone on to be involved with some of the biggest film, television & game franchises of all time including "Riddick," "24," "The Big Bang Theory," "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," "Batman," "Spider Man," "CSI" and most recently as Vic Morretti on the A&E hit, "Longmire."

Katee’s career began to blossom when she became one of the main cast members of the CBS series, "The Education of Max Bickford" in which she played Nell, the daughter of the title character, portrayed by award-winning actor, Richard Dreyfuss.

In 2001 Katee’s career exploded after landing the lead role of Starbuck in the re-imagined sci-fi series, "Battlestar Galactica." Derived from the original 1978 series of the same name, Battlestar was met with much criticism from fans of the original who did not take kindly to many of the changes made by the new show’s creator, Ronald D. Moore — particularly the fact that Sackhoff’s character had originally been played by a man. Against all odds Katee successfully made the character her own and was quickly embraced by fans of both series. The show was a huge hit with critics and fans alike. Time Magazine called it “the best show on television” and the show went on to receive a Peabody Award.

During the run of the series Katee became both a sex symbol and role model. Fans praised her portrayal of such a complex and badass character while women the world over celebrated a character on television who was smart, strong and independent while still maintaining the charm and emotional depth that made Starbuck so interesting.

Katee appeared in the new "Riddick" movie starring opposite Vin Diesel.

When she’s not working Katee enjoys spending her time riding motorcycles, working out, watching movies and hanging out with family and friends.
