During a challenging period of postpartum depression after her first child was born, Katherine Stone experienced profound isolation and distress, believing her child would never love her. Once she recovered, she was motivated to address this often overlooked childbirth complication by creating "Postpartum Progress," an award-winning, internationally recognized website dedicated to raising awareness and providing comprehensive support to mothers facing perinatal mental illnesses.

"Postpartum Progress" has become the most widely read blog on postpartum depression and related mental health issues, annually reaching hundreds of thousands of women. Building on this success, Stone established Postpartum Progress, Inc., a national nonprofit committed to significantly enhancing the support and services available to women with perinatal mental illnesses. She has expanded her advocacy by founding PINK Magazine, further supporting her mission to empower women.

Stone has contributed her expertise to various platforms including BlogHer, the Today Show website, PBS's "This Emotional Life," and has written as a parenting columnist for AOL’s ParentDish and Disney’s Babble.
