Kathy Vizas

Kathy Vizas is an attorney and global advocate dedicated to advancing development efforts that improve the lives of girls and women worldwide. With over two decades of experience in law, Vizas has provided counsel to high-profile corporations, including Fortune 500 companies, and has built a reputation as a trusted advisor on matters of international development, human rights, and social impact.

Vizas is a founding member of Maverick Collective, an initiative that partners with Population Services International to address global health challenges. In her work with the India team, Vizas played a key role in the successful completion of a cervical cancer screening program in Uttar Pradesh, where over three years, more than 120,000 low-income women were screened for cervical cancer. This project exemplified her commitment to women's health and her focus on creating lasting impact through scalable solutions.

In 2017, Vizas co-founded TogetHER, an organization devoted to the elimination of cervical cancer, with longtime women’s health advocate Celina Schocken. TogetHER unites global cervical cancer providers and advocates to address the disease's preventable toll and works toward the shared vision of eradicating cervical cancer worldwide. Vizas continues to be a powerful voice in the global movement for women's health, tirelessly working to prevent unnecessary deaths from this preventable disease.

In addition to her work on cervical cancer, Vizas is deeply involved in human rights advocacy. She serves on the San Francisco Committee of Human Rights Watch and is a member of the advisory boards of The Undertold Stories Project and The Human Trafficking Legal Center. Her extensive work in law and advocacy demonstrates her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of women and girls globally, with a focus on sustainable, transformative change.
