Kelly Price

R&B singer Kelly Price began her career in the music industry as a backing vocalist, contributing to records by artists such as Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Faith Evans, and Brian McKnight. Price was also the featured voice on the Notorious B.I.G.'s song "Mo Money, Mo Problems" and Mase's "Feels So Good."

Price appeared on Puff Daddy's album "No Way Out" and participated as a featured performer on the subsequent tour. Her solo debut, "Soul of a Woman," was released on Island, and a remix of its single "Friend of Mine," featuring R. Kelly and Ronald Isley, reached the top of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. After transitioning to Def Soul, Price released her second album, "Mirror Mirror." The album's cover of Shirley Murdock's Roger Troutman-penned ballad "As We Lay" achieved significant chart success on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart.

Following a Christmas album, Price released her third studio album, "Priceless," which saw strong initial sales. She later released the contemporary gospel album "This Is Who I Am" on Zomba, followed by the secular album "Kelly" through My Block/Malaco. Price returned to the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with "Kelly Price" and later released "Sing Pray Love, Vol. 1: Sing."

A seven-time Grammy Award nominee in both R&B and gospel categories, Price has maintained an active presence in the music industry, performing, recording, and appearing on television, including reality and music competition programs. She is also recognized for sharing her experiences related to health and personal challenges, contributing to her reputation as a live performer and speaker in the R&B and gospel music communities.
