Kelly Rutherford

Best-known to television audiences as Lily van der Woodsen on the hit show "Gossip Girl," Kelly Rutherford played the sophisticated, fashionable matriarch on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for 6 seasons, appearing in 96 episodes until the series concluded in December of 2012. In addition to her iconic role in "Gossip Girl," Rutherford is also known for her performances in "Melrose Place," "Homefront," and more recent series such as "Reckless" on CBS, "Being Mary Jane" on BET, and "The Mysteries of Laura" on NBC. Her film credits include "Scream 3," among others.

As a devoted single parent to Hermes and Helena, Rutherford is actively involved in women's and children's charities. She is a founder and director of the Children's Justice Campaign, a non-profit focused on aiding individuals navigating the family court system. Moreover, she continues her role as a board member of Step Up, which empowers girls from under-resourced communities, and Free Arts NYC for Kids, a mentoring program for underserved children and families.

In November of 2011, Rutherford launched her personal website, kellyrutherford.com, which has evolved into a resource focusing on healthy living and wellness for women, children, and young families. The site offers insights into various aspects from creative children's projects to chic accessorizing and tips for an organic lifestyle. Based in New York City, Rutherford uses her platform to speak on crucial issues affecting young people, including dating and sexual violence, bullying, self-image, substance abuse, and family issues, blending her advocacy with her public presence to effect change.
