Ken Jeong

Known for his wide range of comedic roles, actor, producer, writer, and comedian Ken Jeong has become a prominent figure in comedy and film. Since his feature film debut playing the doctor in "Knocked Up" in 2007, Jeong has consistently delivered memorable performances on both TV and film.

Jeong most recently starred in Charlie Day’s "Fool's Paradise", alongside Day, Adrien Brody, Kate Beckinsale, Jason Sudeikis, John Malkovich, Ray Liotta, and more. The film is a satirical comedy about a down-on-his-luck publicist (Jeong) who discovers a recently released mental health patient (Day) who looks just like a misbehaving movie star. The publicist subs him into a film, creating a new star. The comedy was released theatrically on May 12th. Jeong will soon be seen in AppleTV+'s global hit comedy "The Afterparty", premiering on the platform on July 12th. He will be featured as a series regular in Season 2 of the hit show from Oscar winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord. He will star alongside Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall, and Vivian Wu, as well as returning stars Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoë Chao. Season 2 will revolve around a murder at a wedding, with Richardson and Chao taking on lead duties in solving the crime, with Haddish back as Detective Danner.

In addition to his acting career, Jeong has also ventured into directing and producing. He directed an ESPN 30 for 30 documentary titled "Student Athlete" and starred in, as well as produced, the Sundance award-winning film "Advantageous", which received an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Alongside his work in "Dr. Ken" and "Community", Jeong has made appearances on TV hits such as "The Office", "Entourage", and "Curb Your Enthusiasm". In 2008, Jeong portrayed a villain opposite Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott in David Wain's "Role Models". That same year he appeared in the cult comedy hits "Pineapple Express" and "Step Brothers". In May of 2009, Jeong appeared as the Asian mobster “Mr. Chow” in the sleeper-hit comedy "The Hangover", also starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis. This role earned Jeong an MTV Movie Award in 2010, and the film won The Golden Globe for Best Comedy/Musical and Critics' Choice Award for "Best Comedy" in 2010. The film was the highest-grossing R-rated comedy at the time, with over $467 million worldwide. Jeong reprised his iconic role in "The Hangover Part II" and "The Hangover Part III". His other film credits include "Crazy Rich Asians", "Ride Along 2", "Transformers: Dark of the Moon", "Couples Retreat", "Goosebumps 2", and "Tom & Jerry" among others.

Jeong has contributed his voice to several animated films and was recently heard in Netflix's Oscar-Nominated "Over The Moon", Warner Brothers' "SCOOB", and Disney's "Lady and the Tramp". He also performed in his first-ever Netflix comedy special, “Ken Jeong: You Complete Me, Ho” in 2019, which reflects on his transition from being a doctor to a comedy superstar. Jeong’s career path started off differently; he earned his undergraduate degree at Duke University and a medical degree from the University of North Carolina, completing his Internal Medicine residency in New Orleans while developing his comedy career. Jeong dedicates his spare time to volunteering with Stand Up 2 Cancer, a cause very close to his heart. He also uses his platform to advocate against racism and hate crimes targeting the AAPI community, aiming to create lasting change. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and twin daughters.
