Kevin A. Mayer

Kevin A. Mayer is an American business executive who is the chairman of DAZN Group. He also serves as co-chairman and co-CEO of Forest Road Acquisition Corp II and as a senior advisor to Forest Road Acquisition Corp. He was CEO of TikTok and COO of its parent company ByteDance Ltd in 2020. Mayer is the former Chairman of the Direct-to-Consumer & International division of The Walt Disney Company. He was previously the senior executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Disney where he led their acquisitions of Pixar, Marvel Entertainment, BamTech, Lucasfilm, and 21st Century Fox. He also directed the divestitures of Miramax and ABC Radio.

As COO of ByteDance, Mayer oversaw the global development of ByteDance and led a number of the company's strategic initiatives including music, gaming, Helo, and other emerging businesses. Mayer was responsible for several corporate functions including corporate development, sales, marketing, public affairs, security, moderation, and legal, and served as CEO of TikTok, the company's rapidly growing short-form video content platform. Prior to joining ByteDance, was Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer & International at Disney, overseeing the development and rollout of Disney+, the company's flagship streaming service. He led the company's other direct-to-consumer businesses, including Hulu, ESPN+, and Hotstar, as well as oversaw Disney’s international operations, global ad sales, and global content sales. As Chief Strategy Officer, oversaw the key acquisitions of 21st Century FOX, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.

Mayer serves on the Strategic Advisory Board of Salesforce, the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission Board of Directors and a Governor of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Mayer holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from MIT, as well as a master's degree from San Diego State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
