Kevin Cronin

Kevin Cronin is the VP, Sustainability, and R&D at Ultra-Poly Corporation, one of the largest asset-based plastics recycling companies in the country.

With a degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, Cronin has over 35 years of professional experience in the field of polymers and plastics on a global basis. His career began as a product development engineer and progressed through more customer-facing roles in technical services, sales, and marketing, to business management and ultimately to executive leadership of several companies both in a large corporate setting as well as in small entrepreneurial environments.

Over the past 10 years, Cronin has become deeply involved with sustainability initiatives and was CEO of a company that was in the top 20 of all polymer recycling operations nationally. He created his own company to focus on broader, more holistic approaches to sustainability and to develop solutions to more challenging waste streams. With a passion for developing business opportunities that also help to address the very real solid-waste issues that confront the plastics industry, Cronin is involved in developing and commercializing new recycling technologies and value chains through grass-roots development, participation in industry associations and collaboration with academia, start-ups and brand owners.
