Kim Coles

Kim Coles is perhaps most recognized for her distinctive comedic characters and vibrant humor. She initiated her entertainment career as a finalist in the “Big Beautiful Woman” pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This led her to start plus-size modeling and subsequently perform as a stand-up comedian, giving rise to a flourishing career in the industry.

Coles is widely known for her role as Synclaire in FOX’s pivotal comedy series, "Living Single." Her presence has also been felt in other shows such as "In Living Color," "One on One," "Ten Items or Less," "Frasier," HBO’s "Six Feet Under," "Baby Daddy," and "Home Economics." She was the co-host of the nationally syndicated daytime talk show "In the Loop with IVillage" and has been a guest co-host for various shows, including "The View," "Good Day Live," "Sister Circle," and "The Talk." She is also recognized by reality TV audiences, having been a contestant on "The Mole," VH1’s "Celebrity Fit Club," BET’s "Pay It Off" and "Coming to the Stage."

Moreover, Coles has hosted shows like "Gotham Comedy Live" and "Off the Chain," and regularly appeared on shows such as "25 Words or Less" and "See It Loud: The History of Black Television." Her film performances include roles in Strictly Business, Kids in America, and Love Is Not Enough. Additionally, she has been a regular cast member in "Days of Our Lives" as Nurse Whitley King. In the sphere of comedy, Coles has graced the stages of comedy clubs worldwide and has crafted award-winning one-woman plays, "Homework" and "Oh, But Wait, There’s More!" which she both wrote and produced.

Transitioning from her extensive experience in the entertainment industry, Coles now leverages her knowledge as an Intuitive Coach. She is dedicated to assisting entrepreneurs, business owners, and visionary leaders to discover and utilize their own unique stories and life lessons to captivate and connect with their audience. Coles also leads an online community, The Radiant KimUnity, where she supports women in cultivating and embracing a joyful and "BOLDACIOUS" life. She is a published author, with four best-selling books: “I’m Free, But It Will Cost You,” “The Gratitude Journal,” “Open Your G.I.F.T.S.: 22 Lessons on Finding and Embracing Your Personal Power," and “Open Your G.I.F.T.S.2: 42 Lessons of Finding and Embracing Your Blessings in Disguise.” Her work has earned her recognition, including multiple NAACP Image Award nominations, and winning the award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series in 1998.
