Kim Delaney

Kim Delaney embarked on her acting career with an early role as Jenny Gardner on the ABC daytime television drama "All My Children." Her career gained momentum, and she eventually landed the role of Detective Diane Russell on the ABC drama series "NYPD Blue." This role proved to be pivotal in her career, earning her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1997. Delaney portrayed this character from 1995 to 2003, captivating audiences with her performance.

Following her success on "NYPD Blue," Delaney continued to secure leading roles in various television series. In 2001, she took on the lead role of Kathleen Maguire in the television series "Philly." A year later, she was cast as the female lead in the inaugural season of "CSI: Miami," though she left after 10 episodes. From 2007 to 2012, Delaney played Claudia Joy Holden in the Lifetime Television series "Army Wives," a role that spanned six seasons. Besides her television work, Delaney also made a notable appearance in the 2018 feature film "God Bless the Broken Road."

Delaney's portfolio continues to expand with her recent work on the television series "General Hospital," where she held a recurring role as Jackie Templeton from 2020 to 2021, and a four-episode stint on "Chicago Fire." Her role on "General Hospital" led to her nomination for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series in 2021. That same year, Delaney starred in the television film "The Long Island Serial Killer: A Mother's Hunt for Justice" as Mari Gilbert.
