Kirsty Dunphey

Kirsty Dunphey has been entrepreneurial from a young age, beginning with her involvement in her parents’ small businesses and initiating her first business venture at 15. By the age of 21, she launched her own real estate agency, overcoming significant financial hurdles, including a refusal of funding from banks. This determination drove her to grow her business from a modest start-up into a leading real estate agency in Northern Tasmania with over 50 staff across six locations.

In 2002, Kirsty was honored as the National Winner of Telstra's Young Business Woman of the Year Award, making her the youngest recipient of this accolade. This recognition underpinned her expertise and passion in the business realm. Kirsty became a self-made millionaire by age 23 and a self-made multi-millionaire by 25, even as she faced personal challenges such as her parents’ bankruptcy, which she cites as further motivation rather than a setback.

Currently, Kirsty concentrates on training, speaking, and education, still maintaining ownership of one office while having an active presence in Tasmanian real estate. She delivers approximately 30 keynote speeches annually on topics including entrepreneurialism, customer service, property investment, and business practices. Her keynote programs such as "Culture is Caught, not Taught," which focuses on building organizational culture, and "Customer Service is a Strategic Weapon of Mass Persuasion," emphasize strategic customer service. Another notable program is "Networking – Maximising Your Mojo," which provides insights into effective networking and self-promotion.

Kirsty's book "Advance to Go, Collect $1Million," released in 2005, details her early career and life experiences. She has been featured in various high-profile media outlets including the "Today" show, "Today Tonight," and magazines like "Cosmopolitan," "Ocean Drive," and "Marie Claire." Her dynamic, engaging speaking style, noted for its inspirational and interactive approach, has made her a popular figure in educational and service organizations, including Rotary.
