Kriss Akabusi

Kriss Akabusi, renowned for his athletic prowess, clinched a Gold Medal in the 1990 European Championships, setting a new British Record previously held by David Hemery. In addition to this individual success, he was a pivotal member of the British 4x400 metre relay team that secured a memorable victory at the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo.

Akabusi's extensive career in athletics was recognized in 1992 when he was honored with an MBE for his contributions to the sport. His accolades include not only his European and World Championship victories but also his status as a three-time Olympic medalist, and a Commonwealth Champion.

Transitioning from athletics, Akabusi ventured into media, starting with presenting "The Big Breakfast." He then took on a more permanent role as a co-presenter on BBC's "Record Breakers" and has since been a familiar face on various entertainment shows, emphasizing fun and engagement.

Beyond his media and athletic endeavors, Akabusi is a prominent figure in business and charity. He is the CEO of The Akabusi Company, which specializes in corporate communications and training. He is also the founding Director and Chairman of TACT (The Akabusi Charitable Trust), focusing on community development in Nigeria. His work in personal coaching is backed by accreditation from the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, making him one of the few qualified coaches in the UK from this institution.

Akabusi is dedicated to personal and professional development, currently pursuing an MBA to enhance his skills. His presentations and discussions cover his rich experiences in athletics and the Olympics, effective team building, leadership, and understanding customer perspectives in business.
