Larissa Trinder Biography
Larissa Trinder is Assistant Vice President for Arts in Medicine at New York City Health + Hospitals, responsible for stewardship, exhibition strategy, conservation, and curation of the health system’s collection of over 4,000 works of art. She also oversees the creation and implementation of programs for patients, staff and the community that utilize the arts as a tool in healing.
Before joining Health + Hospitals, Trinder worked for more than ten years at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia, in philanthropy and creating programs to integrate the arts into the hospital system. She is a passionate advocate for the essential role of the arts and humanities in health care to advance patient health outcomes, enhance staff engagement and retention, and empower communities.
Trinder has a Master’s degree in public policy from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University.
