Lauren Pharr Biography
Dr. Lauren Pharr is a forensic anthropologist who uses her research to promote the role of vultures in forensic science. Her research has found that intensively studying vulture scavenging can lead to faster and more accurate work in identifying human remains. Pharr works with law enforcement across the country to help solve missing-person cases and also works in national research institutions like the Texas State Forensic Anthropology Research Facility and the Smithsonian Ornithology Laboratory.
Pharr earned her Ph.D. from Louisiana State University's Department of Geography and Anthropology.
