Lauren Rigney Biography
Lauren Rigney received a B.A. in Psychology from Princeton University, M.S. in Exercise and Sports Studies from Smith College, and M.S. in Professional Counseling from Monmouth University. At NYIT, in addition to teaching Foundations of Scientific Process, she is involved in service learning projects with her students.
She is a board certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of New York, practicing as a therapist and coach in Manhattan. Her education and professional background in both the mind and the body give her a unique and effective approach to working with clients. Rigney provides tailored treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives.
Her specialty is working with high performers – athletes, creative professionals, lawyers, doctors, and businesspeople – whose lives require intensity, multitasking, and sacrifice.
