Lauren Weisberger

Lauren Weisberger was born on March 28, 1977, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania, from the age of eleven. At Parkland High School, Weisberger thrived in various extracurricular activities and played varsity tennis. After high school, she attended Cornell University, earning a BA in English in 1999. Weisberger then traveled extensively, visiting countries across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, which broadened her cultural perspectives significantly.

After returning to the United States, Weisberger settled in Manhattan and secured her first job as an Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour. This role not only introduced her to the fashion industry but also inspired her to write "The Devil Wears Prada," a novel that became a major success. Published in April 2003, the book was on The New York Times Bestseller List for six months and was later adapted into a highly successful film starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. The film won a Golden Globe Award and grossed over $300 million globally.

Weisberger continued her writing career with several more novels, including "Everyone Worth Knowing," "Chasing Harry Winston," which has been optioned by Universal Pictures, "Last Night at Chateau Marmont," and "Revenge Wears Prada," a sequel to her first book. All her subsequent works have also been listed on The New York Times Bestseller List. Her books have been published in forty different languages, making her a prominent figure in contemporary literature. Weisberger currently resides in New York City with her husband and two children, continuing her writing and contributing to various publications.
