Lee Greenwood

Lee Greenwood, an enduring figure in American country music since 1962, has charted 33 singles on the Hot Country Songs, with 7 reaching the number-one spot. His patriotic signature song, "God Bless the U.S.A.", not only won him a Grammy Award but also became a recurrent anthem during significant political events, like the 1984 Republican National Convention and the presidential campaigns of George H. W. Bush and Donald Trump. Greenwood has maintained a consistent presence in these high-profile events, including his performance at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2013 and the Make America Great! Welcome Celebration before Donald Trump's inauguration in 2017.

Greenwood's contributions to the arts were recognized in November 2008 when President George W. Bush nominated him for a six-year term on the National Council on the Arts. He served under Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump until 2022, offering guidance on the policy and funding of artistic endeavors nationwide.
