Leslie Coutterand

Former actress, Leslie Coutterand is a speaker, host, director, producer and activist. We have seen her, among others, in lead roles on French national networks such as TF1 in Julie Lescaut a prime time TV series and France 2, in the TV series Deja Vu nominated for best teen show in 2010 at the national 'TV festival de La Rochelle'. Moreover, she made her mark as part of the ensemble cast in the American film 'Larry Gaye', alongside acclaimed actors Henry Winkler, Marcia Gay Harden, and Stanley Tucci. In addition to acting, Coutterand has produced short documentaries and commercials for Nuro, SciFuture, Indeed, Google, and directed a 6-episode miniseries comedy for BBC3 on gender norms and sexism.

However, Coutterand's journey took an inspiring turn when she embarked on a profound personal exploration, leading her to quit acting, redirecting her passion and energy towards projects that foster a positive impact on society and the planet. In 2017, she created, produced, and launched three environmental campaigns with iboycott.org and Friends of the Earth, urging major French banks to divest from DAPL and invest in clean energies.

Since then, Coutterand has given three TEDx talks in France and the United States and regularly speaks at international events. In her engaging talks, Coutterand fearlessly delves into the complex world of social conditioning, challenging commonly held beliefs and patterns. With a fresh and thought-provoking approach, she offers profound reflections that extend beyond our notions of success, delving into how social conditioning impacts our well-being and the environment. In addition to speaking at various summits and festivals such as Paris Dauphine, Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week, Sommet du Digital, W2day, Wonderlust USA, Sommet du Design de Paris, Lift Conférence by Saatchi & Saatchi, Festival Think Forward, Leslie is also highly sought-after as a panel moderator for esteemed events like BPI France, Cannes Film Festival, Les Sommets, Axa, and Femmes Entre-Aides et Autonomie, among other prestigious gatherings. Furthermore, Coutterand has conducted interviews with CEOs, the former Secretary of State for Ecological Transition, the Presidents of EM Lyon European Business School and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, as well as various personalities for the media INfluencia.

In 2022, Coutterand spoke at the Indonesian Sustainable Energy Week and the annual conference of the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations in New Delhi. During her presentations, Coutterand raised awareness about the social and environmental impact of social media.

As a testament to her dedication, Coutterand founded Flashworld Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company focused on creating impactful podcasts and visual content. The organization aims to broaden horizons, raise awareness about environmental crises, and challenge toxic dominant narratives.
