Liam Cunningham

Liam Cunningham is an Irish actor recognized for his work across film, television, and theater. Prior to his acting career, Cunningham worked as an electrician in the late 1980s.

Cunningham gained international recognition for his role as Davos Seaworth in HBO's "Game of Thrones." This role not only amassed Cunningham a strong fan following but also led to him winning the Irish Film and Television Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

In addition to "Game of Thrones," Cunningham's film credits include roles in "A Little Princess," "Jude," "Dog Soldiers," "The Wind That Shakes the Barley," "Hunger," "The Escapist," "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," "Good Vibrations," "Let Us Prey," and "The Childhood of a Leader". Cunningham also starred alongside John Cusack in "The Numbers Station" and debuted in the film "Into the West" as a police officer. Cunningham's performances have earned him nominations for the London Film Critics' Circle Award and the British Independent Film Award.

Beyond film, Cunningham has appeared in notable television roles like the BBC series Merlin where he featured as a sorcerer and lent his voice to the Netflix animated series "Masters of the Universe: Revelation" where he voiced the character Man-At-Arms. Cunningham's other television credits include "Outcasts", "Doctor Who", "The Hot Zone", and Netflix's "3 Body Problem." Cunningham's work in television also led to the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for "Game of Thrones".

Cunningham resides in Dublin with his wife Colette and their three children, Ellen, Liam Jr., and Sean.
