Lilly King

Lilly King is a swimmer specializing in breaststroke. She has represented the United States at several international swimming competitions, including the Summer Olympics in 2016, 2020, and 2024. King won gold in the 100-meter breaststroke and the 4x100-meter medley relay in 2016. She also secured silver in the 200-meter breaststroke and the 4x100-meter medley relay in 2020 and bronze in the 100-meter breaststroke at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics. Reflecting her dedication and skill, King set the world record in the long-course 100-meter breaststroke.

King's collegiate career at Indiana University Bloomington was marked by multiple accolades. As a member of the Indiana Hoosiers swimming and diving team, she won NCAA titles in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke categories. King was named the Big Ten Swimmer of the Year and earned multiple All-America honors. She also won the Honda Sports Award for Swimming & Diving in 2019, a significant recognition of her status as one of the nation's top female swimmers.

Beyond her achievements in the Olympics and collegiate swimming, King has displayed her expertise in a number of other international competitions. She holds world records in the 100m and 200m breaststroke events and has earned gold medals at the World Championships and Pan Pacific Championships. King's personal best times, including 1:04.13 in the 100-meter breaststroke and 2:19.92 in the 200-meter breaststroke, further underline her distinguished career. She also achieved recognition for her contributions to the sport when the competition pool at the Deaconess Aquatic Center was named in her honor.

King extended her reach into the professional world by participating in the inaugural International Swimming League in 2019, where she remained undefeated throughout the season. She continued to participate in the league, ranking third out of 488 competitors in 2021. King is a current member of the Cali Condors roster in the International Swimming League.
