Lisa Wu

Lisa Wu, Partner, Norwest Venture Partners, focuses not only on early to late stage venture investments across a wide range of sectors, but also heavily emphasizes on both consumer Internet and B2B application software companies. She is a board observer at Jet and StellaService, and has been involved with Norwest’s investments in consumer Internet companies like Ritual, Minted, and Opendoor.

Before joining the Norwest team, Wu worked in Amazon.com’s Worldwide Corporate Development team. She also gained substantial experience at Bessemer Venture Partners, working on consumer and software investments, and dealing with early to growth stage investment opportunities, including several top eCommerce, SaaS, consumer Internet, and healthcare IT companies. Wu is not only known for her corporate roles but also as a founder. She established BANZAI! Fresh, a venture providing high-quality, nutritious foods to schools and hospitals in Northern California. Wu began her notable career in the realm of investment banking at Merrill Lynch.

When it comes to education, Wu holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in marketing and entrepreneurial management. Her time at Wharton was marked with a significant achievement as she won the first place at the International Venture Capital Investment Competition. In addition to her MBA, Wu also earned a bachelor of science in business administration and a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, further solidifying her foundation in both business and understanding consumer behavior.
