Liz Cambage Biography
Elizabeth Cambage is an Australian professional basketball player with the Sichuan Yuanda women's basketball team in Chengdu, China. Prior to her move to China, Cambage showcased her prowess with the Maccabi Bnot Ashdod of the Israeli Female Basketball Premier League, the Las Vegas Aces of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), and various other American and international teams. A four-time WNBA All-Star, Cambage shares the league's single-game scoring record with A'ja Wilson, with her 53-point performance against the New York Liberty in 2018.
She played for the Australia national team, the Opals, between 2009 and 2021, winning a gold medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, silver in the 2018 World Cup, and bronze in the 2012 Olympics. She became the first player ever to dunk in women’s Olympic competition in 2012.
Cambage is an advocate for mental health awareness and body positivity, and has made a point of being open about her journey, hoping it will help others.
She is also the co-founder of Vitadrop, a water-based hydration product company.
