Louis Foreman is the founder and Chief Executive of Enventys Partners, an integrated product development and crowdfunding firm. He is also the CEO of Edison Nation and Edison Nation Medical.
Foreman graduated from The University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. His entrepreneurial journey began during his sophomore year after founding his first company in his fraternity room. Over the past three decades, Foreman has initiated nine successful startups and has played a crucial role in the creation of over 20 others. A prolific inventor, he holds 10 registered US patents, and his firm has been instrumental in the development and filing of over 700 patents.
Foreman has been honored with numerous awards for his entrepreneurial achievements. His dedication to education is evident through his roles as an adjunct professor and Entrepreneur in Residence at The McColl School of Business, as well as his tenure at Queens University and Central Piedmont Community College, where he received the Instructor Achievement Award. The National Museum of Education has recognized him for his distinguished contributions to education.
A respected voice in the realm of innovation, Foreman frequently shares his insights as a lecturer and as a guest on radio and TV. He is regularly invited by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and various national trade associations to speak on innovation. Additionally, Foreman has made significant contributions to legislative discussions, particularly with his involvement in the America Invents Act.
Foreman's impact extends into media and publication. He is the creator and Executive Producer of the Emmy® Award-winning PBS TV show "Everyday Edisons" and became the publisher of "Inventors Digest" in 2007. His book, "The Independent Inventor’s Handbook: The Best Advice from Idea to Payoff," was published in 2009. In 2015, he was recognized with the IP Champion Award by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Currently, Foreman serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the James Dyson Foundation and other notable organizations. His contributions to public advisory include his role on the Patent Public Advisory Committee, where he served as Chairman until December 2014, appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.
