Lucas Boyce

Lucas Daniel Boyce is a motivational speaker specializing in overcoming adversity, with over twenty years of professional speaking experience. He is the author of "Living Proof: From Foster Care to the White House and the NBA," published in January 2011. Boyce's book and presentations focus on servant leadership, teamwork, and overcoming obstacles, drawing on his extensive experiences from his personal life and professional career.

Formerly, Boyce served as an executive for the NBA's Orlando Magic from 2008 to 2016, where he held roles such as Director of Business Development, Community Relations, and Legislative Affairs. His responsibilities at the Magic included strategic business planning and developing a new sports and entertainment district in downtown Orlando. He also managed the organization’s statewide legislative and government affairs. Before his tenure with the Orlando Magic, Boyce worked at the White House in the Office of Political Affairs and the Office of Public Liaison. There, he managed various responsibilities including communication, public relations, and educational outreach across diverse communities.

Currently, Boyce is the Assistant to the County Administrator for Orange County, Florida, where he advises on and supports county-wide initiatives. He continues to offer leadership insights in his presentations, discussing principles effective in both professional and personal life. His talk "Living Proof" encourages audiences to overcome obstacles and not let past or present conditions define their future success. Boyce holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Speech Communication from the University of Central Missouri and an MBA from Rollins College.
